About Therametics
Therametics is a technology-based skin therapeutics company that utilizes a state-of-the-art drug screening program to identify novel, botanically-derived chemical compounds with pronounced anti-inflammatory and anti-aging activities.
All Therametics products, whether for the cosmetic, OTC drug or prescription drug market, are designed using the following criteria, which are critical for building effective skin care products:
- The "bioactive" compounds formulated into all products are scientifically proven to promote a beneficial effect to skin cells.
- Each "bioactive" is used at a high enough concentration in the formulation to achieve the beneficial effects seen in laboratory studies with human skin cells.
- Formulations are designed to optimize penetration of each "active" ingredient across the skin's surface at a high enough concentration to reach the target cells that may lie many cell layers below the surface.
The company's lead anti-inflammatory "active", Therosol®, was discovered using a rigorous drug screening program developed in the university research laboratory of the company's founder during his 21 year tenure as a Biochemistry Professor at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. Therosol® is now in all Therametics products.
